Upsets! Upsets! and more Upsets in Madrid.

Today’s quarterfinal in Madrid was filled with suprise victories. First off, only one of the favored players in the men’s singles, Lin Dan, pulled through. Peter Gade, Chen Jin, and the #1 seed Lee Chong Wei were all defeated. Probably one of the bigger surprises occurred in the ladies’ singles…PETRA OVERZIER defeated 3/4 seed Chen Wang to make it into the semi-finals. The only native German to do in at least 20 years. In the mixed doubles event, the English team Clark and Kellogg defeated the Olympic Gold Medalists Gao Ling & Zang Jun. It could very well be an all England final. Stay tuned to find out.
